UNFURLING BLUE CARPET MEMORIES
My work stems from involuntary memories embedded in my body. They resurface as visual fragments eager to transform into poignant narratives.
Viewing the body as a vessel and the home as a container for the body, both are repositories for memory.
I engage in artistic archaeology, an embodied practice that navigates between spaces of containment and release, construction and deconstruction, decay and preservation.
In my studio practice, glass is both material and conduit. Through it, I explore physicality, labor, and shaping. I uncover the body’s threshold and expose hidden interiors, wondering, What if my body was transparent and I left traces and residues of my interactions behind?
