Film / Animation / Video
Image
The Film/Animation/Video department is a tree with intertwining branches. The trunk from which these branches grow is the exploration of time as plastic and material. We are animators. We are live action filmmakers. We are open media artists. We examine each branch through technical study and practical experimentation. We decode the theory and histories of our mediums through screenings of diverse works. Each student sprouts new branches on the tree using paint, pencils, computers, cameras, hammers, light—and tools they invent or discover. Works made by our gifted students and faculty are exhibited throughout the world.
