In honor of our new President, Crystal Williams, the Printmaking department is celebrating the Inaugural Weekend and theme of “New Spaces” by opening its printing studios to the public and presenting students selling their prints in a space that would usually function as their Lithography Studio. In addition, an installation titled, Arachnophobia by Emily Van Heusen 24 PR transforms first-floor stairwell space inside Benson Hall, while the installation For the Gifted by Adelaide Tousignant 24 PR/GL transforms the alleyway outside of Benson Hall at 235 Benefit Street. Visitors to Benson Hall will also be able to view RISD Edition prints master-printed by students in collaboration with visiting artists on the first-floor Print Wall inside the Tech Lab.
