Making That Carries Over

As an industrial designer who recently fell in love with motorcycles, I wanted to use the motorcycle as an artifact for promoting tangible making. There are lots of riders who enjoy working on their motorcycles just as much as riding them. They face hesitation to start due to the commitment required while facing a big project. Lots of frustrations and troubleshooting come with making. It’s often difficult to predict outcomes while doing tasks. Finding reliable resources for information can be stressful. There is often not a clear way of doing things. It’s up to the maker to make decisions that may cost a lot of time, energy, and patience. It’s necessary to keep hopes high for a good outcome and not give up. Nothing memorable was ever achieved easily. By committing, riders will gain tremendous skills while going through experiences that will stay with them forever
