About
Featuring work by graduate students earning their degrees this year, RISD Grad Show 2023 highlights the creativity of students at all stages of the thesis process, from sketches and drafts to completed works. The show is presented both as an in-person exhibition at the Rhode Island Convention Center (open to the public May 25–June 3), and as a digital publication that showcases work by RISD grad students across 19 advanced degree programs.

At the intersection of architecture, preservation, and design, INTAR takes an innovative approach to the reuse and transformation of existing buildings, by investigating issues of conservation, exhibition design, retail, and domesticity. This year 38 students, graduating from our three Master’s Programs, have contributed with their thesis projects and final adaptive reuse project to the Grad Show. Their proposals express a multifaceted range of research interests, design strategies, and architectural vocabularies, which perfectly describe INTAR’s mission and values.
