Various Bodies —A Multi-Sensory Wearing Experience
I like mixing my experiences from the inner world with the outside world. In this blend is where I find inspiration. Reversal and inversion, exaggeration, paradox, playing with boundaries, playing with infinity is my working method. I use stunning vision to attract an audience and make my works live and speak. I always ask others what they see and hear in my work. The more associations my work evokes, the better it becomes. Light, sound, and movement are central concerns of my practice, allowing me to create immersive experiences for viewers. The wearer’s movements generate various sounds while the interlocking components of my design refract and reflect light in diverse ways. My goal is to create an experience where visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli work together to enhance and complement each other, providing viewers with an immersive multi-sensory experience.

“Sprouting” wraps around the neck, starting with the form of a necklace, exaggerating the size of the traditional necklace and developing into armor that wraps the upper body; feathers that drape the back; an undershirt that floats across the chest, and sleeves that radiate. A high contrast of green and red which can create a strong visual impact. Red is associated with passion, energy, and excitement, while green is associated with nature, growth, and tranquility.The contrast between these two color can create a sense of conflict or dynamism, as if there is a battle between opposing forces.

Yellow and orange can bring a sense of excitement and enthusiasm that can evoke feelings of happiness, optimism, and energy. People who are drawn to yellow and orange may be perceived as cheerful, outgoing, and confident.

“Soft armor” appears visually hard and intimidating, but it is surprisingly soft to the touch, creating a contrast between the visual and tactile sensations. The wearer can feel a slight tingling sensation, and the armor shape also forces the wearer to hold their chest up at all times. The combination of different visual forms and shapes brings the wearer into a different state.

Green is a calming color that can evoke feelings of relaxation, harmony, and balance. Thus, the color can align with the wearing experience of this piece. The work has an overall light color and is nearly transparent under the strong reflection of sunlight.
