The Common Destiny of Living Creatures
The common destiny of living creatures
I create art using discarded materials to address the environmental crisis caused by excessive disposable products. "The common destiny of living creatures" is an installation of recycled plastic brooches, resembling a flying bird, crafted from thousands of plastic bags and food packaging. This labor-intensive process starkly contrasts with society's obsession with instant gratification and disposable products. Viewers can participate by wearing these recycled feathers, symbolizing humanity's relentless pursuit of consumption and its impact on nature and animal survival. As the brooches are taken, the bird form gradually disintegrates, illustrating the destruction of the natural ecosystem by human actions. Participants are invited to sign a pledge to reduce plastic and aluminum use, emphasizing the importance of environmental care and reflecting on consumer behavior. The project aims to raise awareness and foster shared responsibility for environmental protection and sustainable development.
