Justice redoubles the crime

Imperialism and capitalism irreversibly cut people off from their past and identity. On the universal level, they falsely place humans on the top of a power hierarchy. My work acknowledges the solidarity that oppressed human groups have with nonhuman powers whether it be celestial, supernatural, animal, or elemental. I create portal-like installations with the intent to engage these nonhuman powers within the marginal corridor between the mundane and supernatural realms. There, the dead are visceral and uncompromising, the past is the present, and the supremacy of mankind is ludicrous.
