I’m not a control freak, but my work is freakishly controlled. Nothing is left to luck or hazard. I have a design system that I like to work with: The evolution, transformation and repetition of 2D geometric shapes and sheet material into a bold and skeletal 3D piece of furniture. I use platonic solids and universal shapes and colors in combination with clean and slick, sometimes semi-transparent, materials and assemble them in an alternating way switching from solid to empty space in order to create a sense of intense purity. The pieces I make are stripped down to their essential elements, down to their very bones. They do what they have to do and nothing more. There is simplicity in the design, the making process and the materials used, that brings elegance to the final product.  I like my work to play with the senses. Whether it’s tactile or optical, I orchestrate phenomenons that either attracts the viewer's attention or directly invites him to interact with the piece.
