QuarterMaster building is a historical building left by Fort Andrew Army in Peddocks Island of Boston Harbor. Like any other island in the world, Peddocks island is also threatened by the rising sea level.

The notion of redesigning Peddocks island with time leading me to focus more on the coexistence of architecture and the growing nature in changing environmental conditions, thus the adaptive reuse of QuarterMaster is also seen as an experiment of using natural elements as an architectural component. Since global warming becomes an unstoppable phenomenon nowadays, the goal is not “saving” QuarterMaster building from nature, but how to give it back to nature.
