Unconsciously or intentionally, I became an easily missing person, resulting from an
unstoppable urge to go on journeys alone. I wonder the difference between the two: maybe any companionless traveler is originally a missing person that, for some reason, return. My traveling story is not an exception, which begins with getting lost, and starts from a departure.
On the Edge of Elapsing is a photo thesis project that unfolds self-exile journeys as a knowing search for beings in their thatness and whatness. The title points to my limbo time in life and the sticky transition between past, present, and future. From a long-term perspective, this project serves to collect sentiments about growth as fragments of a life-assigned self-portrait.
