Getting Started

Logging in, finding your page.

1.

Email from RISD Publications

You should have recently received an email from RISD Publications to inform you of your newly created account. RISD Publications is the platform that will enable you to build a web page for the online RISD Grad Show 2020. If you missed this email please go to http://publications.risdmuseum.org/user and click the “Reset your password” button in the top, yellow stripe.

Logging in to RISD Publications

If you have not yet done so, please open your email from RISD Publications and follow the instructions. Click a one-time-use link to login to the platform and set your permanent password.

Once you have set your permanent password you will always go to http://publications.risdmuseum.org/user to login with the username you were assigned in the original email (your first name starting with a capital letter, then a space, then your last name starting with a capital letter) and the permanent password you created.

Your Page

After logging in at http://publications.risdmuseum.org/user you will see a link to your Publication Page. (This page will have the buttons “View” and “Edit” in the top, yellow stripe.) Click on the link below “Artist Publication Pages.”

To modify your page click the “Layout” button in the top, yellow stripe. Please DO NOT click the “Edit” button—that will take you to your account, not your page layout. Everyone has been given the Minimum Layout to start with. This contains fields for one image, your name, your thesis title, and your abstract. At minimum, add this information.

Want to add more content? Go right ahead! Feel free to experiment and create your own layout. If you want more layout guidance, we've also designed some suggested layouts. Section 3 has detailed instructions on how to create these layouts.
