Facial Covering for Industrious Women

Sewing fasteners, lock washers, thread, adhesive

Inspired by women industrial workers in the United States during the World Wars, their strength, their connection, and their fight for mobility via the women's suffrage movements of the time. Over two hundred individually tied knots can are featured in the piece.

Transgender Underwear Project

Inspired by a conversation with transgender coworker who provided valuable insight on methods of gender expression and challenges that come with it. What became clear from this conversation almost immediately was a huge lack of resources for members of this community, one that represents over 1.4 million people in the United States.
