Cultural standards breed a wild romanticism within. Adoration and adornment interchangeably lead me to an aesthetic sublime. Excavating from past aesthetic traditions I am trying to understand deeply rooted western perspectives that expose a chasm within my identity: a programmed classical conservatism and my own unstoppable drive to transcend the traditional. This series was made right before and throughout quarantine, a time when the ""givens"" are floating, the systems are collapsing and the surreal governs. This work attempts to question experienced personal and cultural systems, some important, some completely trivial.
