My guiding principle is that growth is inherently positive, even if it is painful. Supporting spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth is necessary for a better world. It can be done on small and large scales, through interpersonal relationships, education, art, and essentially any form of human communication. We all have the ability (and in my opinion the responsibility) to help each other grow. Growth is life in so many ways, but sometimes life can feel that it is not flourishing. There is still growth in those times. I am interested in creating an imagery of life that emphasizes its actionless moments; moments of repose where we allow our body and mind to take stock. I propose them as glorifications of motionlessness. They are reminders that growth exists when we stop.
